Before releasing his new album this week J.Cole drops the “Applying Pressure: The Off-Season Documentary”
The documentary starts with a true life conversation with 21 Savage as he tells the story of how he started getting serious about his music. Even though he is in top form as an MC he decided to go back into “work mode” and take the time to raise the bar of his craft.
The documentary then takes a turn and shows the behind-the-scenes look at developing his Puma clothing and shoe line as well as studio work balancing with his personal life.
The documentary even takes him back to 2016 at “Muhammed Crib” working on verse after verse staying hungry to fulfill his mission of being a top-tier artist. He breaks down his love for music and basketball over a montage of candid images as he describes the process of creating his mew music.
