“Hideaway.” The new single from Maryland duo, OK!. Comprised of rapper/drummer Obiora Igbo and singer/guitarist Ahmed Kazmi, the DMV-natives decided to re-brand at the top of the year, and the new single is their first offering since.
Their look and brand might have experienced a few changes, but OK!’s unique creativity and approach to the craft they take so much-pride in, didn’t switch-up any. “Hideaway” is a record that speaks on a topic many of us can relate to. Whether we accept it or not.
The collective gave a quick statement about the single as well:
“Sometimes doing what’s right for you comes with a cost to others– and this song is about embracing those moments for better or for worse. And understanding that you will come out of the other side of things OK!

“A perfect example is everything that has been going on globally with the pandemic. Everyone is handling this tough time in different ways and our relationships with the world around us are being tested. We have to understand that we have to do what it takes to keep us sane and sometimes that process involves no one else but yourself.”
