In August, Burna Boy released his fifth studio album titled Twice As Tall, featuring 15 tracks and assists from Youssou N’Dour, Naughty by Nature, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin, and Stormzy. Diddy executed this project, which is the biggest body of work of the star to date. In fact, it became extremely popular and was on many “Best Of” lists, and even helped Burna Boy a Grammy award for Best Global Music Album.
Last weekend, Burna Boy bounced back yet again with a single called“Kilometre,” which was produced by Chopstix and included lurically meaningful verses, ideal for the streets and the dance floor.
The video was taken by Clarence Abiodun Peters, and aligns well with the song’s boastfulness. It started with Burna Boy and a woman enjoying golf in a massive parking lot. The artist was then shifted to a private jet, before being seen in several other locations, such as a hovering car, a warehouse, and other settings, with others dancing throughout.
Apart from his aforementioned achievement, Burna Boy’s mother Bose Ogulu, was also recognized by Billboard. Just a month ago, she also became a part of the magazine’s 2021 International Power Players list with Warner Music’s Simon Robson, Sony Music’s Monica Cornia, Universal’s Adam Granite, Tencent’s Cussion Kar Shun Pang, and Three Six Zero’s Phil Sales and Pete Tong.
