The music world is always flourishing with up-and-coming talent, but it often seems to be about who you know here rather than how good the music sounds. Now, that isn’t saying much because the music is almost always unheard of and spectacular, but there are definitely some underground gems who don’t receive nearly as much recognition as they deserve because other artists take over their spotlight, but considering these hard-working artists were built by the indie realm , that just makes them grind even harder until they get their own moment in the limelight.
Samaslife is a budding singer-songwriter who recently released a project called “HEARD.” One of his singles off the project titled “Mirrors” has been garnering acclaim amidst folk-indie lovers across the board This project boasts 5 songs and lasts just over 35 minutes long, and he shows off his incredible dynamism and skillset, but with the amount of versatility on this project, I know he is just skimming the surface of his true potential. That’s saying a lot, though, because even this skim is as captivating as ever, and the reason why I need to listen to more before giving my entire opinion is that right now, I just don’t think I could do his work nearly enough justice.
He has certain songs on this EP that are hard, others that are more somber or resonant, and a few more that are painted with some of the smoothest flows in the world. At the same time, no matter what sound he utilizes on each song, his personality shines bright while bringing his various aptitudes along for the ride, making this one of the most unignorable tapes in a while. Samaslife is certainly on the rise, and Mirrors/HEARD, is just the next step in his journey, so don’t wait to get acquainted with the rising artist. Tap in.
