Today, CMG The Label unveiled their new song “Steppas” and formally announced plans to release their long-awaited, compilation album on July 15.
“Steppas,” which is currently available to stream on all platforms HERE via CMG/Interscope, features hard-hitting verses from CMG CEO Yo Gotti and several members of the label’s All-Star roster that includes Moneybagg Yo, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, and Mozzy. As part of the announcement, CMG The Label released the corresponding music video for the song, which you can watch HERE.
The collaborative effort comes shortly after Gotti, Bagg, Mozzy and Lil Poppa teamed up on “Big League”, which was tapped as the official song of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.
The momentum toward a compilation album has been building for CMG, especially since the unit was featured on the cover of Billboard and crowned as “The Hardest-Working Label in Hip-Hop.” Since then, Gotti fortified the roster by signing the most-sought after emerging artist in the industry, GloRilla, on the heels of her smash Billboard Hot 100 anthem “FNF (Let’s Go).”
Under Gotti’s tutelage, CMG has constructed the most loaded and versatile roster in the industry, powered by the likes of Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, GloRilla, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Lil Poppa, Blocboy JB, Big Boogie, Lehla Samia and 10Percent.
Through the first six months of 2022, CMG has expanded exponentially. In recent months, Gotti signed his first R&B artist in Lehla Samia, inked Jacksonville hip-hop artist Lil Poppa, brought on up-and-comer 10Percent, and announced that Mozzy joined the label at the acclaimed, CMG Press Conference in February.
