Sha-Bengez is at the forefront of a new wave of street rap in the birthplace of hip-hop. With his catchy flows with the hype styled beats he paved the way for his independent record label. Now with the distribution from Warner Records Sha-Bengez is working on his debut project “In Due Time”.
The Bronx native talks about the struggles and challenges in the trenches, moving different from most he says gotta stay focus and determined on your goals and dreams anything could happen at any moment.
Born to Antiguan & Trinidad parents Sha-Bengez spent much of his upbringing observing the harsh realities of New York City. With a lot of things going on he says he try’s to stay out the way and focus on the bigger picture. Music has always been apart of Sha-Bengez life with music backgrounds in his family. In Early 2020 he start he own official independent record label with a few artist signing. In mid 2021 he partnered with Executive Vision Entertainment in a sort of management arrangement with Chasing Bengez LLC. Later that year he was going through personal issues and left music alone for a few months. Early 2022 he release his hit single “Risky” with distribution from WMG. He not officially signed to a major label but has the attention from them , time will tell if he signs or stays independent.
