Hasith Aryan – Singer Musician from Sri Lanka

Hasitha Vithanage, mostly known by his stage name “Hasith Aryan” is a highly popular singer, song-writer and a music video director who has been in the entertainment industry for quite some time. Although he has been in the field of music video directing for the longest part he has shown his inert talent of song-writing and singing through his work in the recent past. From his debut song “Kamashriya” created in collaboration with Kaizer Kaiz and Dilki Uresha to the most popular lyrics writings in “Saptha Swarayai” (Roony), Saraviye (Eranga Lanka feat Kaizer Kaiz), Mage So Susum (Rahal Alwis), Rathu Thol (Roony) and Mal Madahaasi (Sandeep Jayalath feat Dulan ARX, Hasith Aryan), Hasith has shown his thirst for creativity and perfection while uplifting the Sri Lankan music industry.

Moreover, Hasith has been a part of a major music project – “Manike Mage Hithe”, almost known to everyone around the world, involving Satheeshan and Yohani which went viral within days. Hasith once again showcased his natural skill for directing by directing the original music video of “Manike Mage Hithe.”

As per the artist, his major goal is to compose a song with an Indian singer and to make an entrance to the Bollywood entertainment industry. It seems he is already in the move of making his way to achieve that goal. Let’s get to know our artist a little bit more now, shall we?!:

With the recent incidents and occurrences such as the pandemic and economic crisis in Sri Lanka, how did it affect you as an artist?

Although myself and a lot of other people faced numerous difficulties due to these situations, I made sure to keep working and find appropriate work as per the time.

Which Sri Lankan artists do you find most inspiring?

In Sri Lanka, there are so many artists who are extremely talented. However, for me, at the moment, I find Sanuka and Yohani to be the most inspiring.

What was you motivation in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry?

Music has been my passion since childhood. Although I first started as a music video director, I found interest in both singing and song writing later and I really love what I do. And there were many fellow artists who motivated me, especially Chamath Sangeeth who pushed me forward to step into the singing.

As a singer, how would you describe your style?

I would incline more towards Pop, Hip Hop and RnB but I’m very much open to other genres and styles as well.

As per your opinion, what would be your best work so far?

I would say, “Kamashriya” is the best yet as it was my first song and for a first song, it had a good reach.

What is the best advice a fellow artist has given you?

To train your voice every single day. It’s actually helping me improve my voice and my confidence as well.

Who is your greatest strength?

I would say my parents. I’m forever grateful for them for believing in me.

In your music journey, did you ever participate in any competitions?

I have not.

What would be your future ambition?

My ambition is and always has been to create songs that touch people and leave an impact on them.
