Inspirational hip-hop artist and social activist Ahmen has completed shooting the music video for his song, OD, a breakout single from his recently released album Per Aspera Ad Astra. Leveraging the power of innovative AI tools, Ahmen seamlessly combines mind-bending imagery with vivid metaphors to accent the song’s incredibly relevant themes of multi-generational unity in combating social injustice. The video adds a potent face to the machine-gun lyrical flow Ahmen maintains throughout, allowing listeners to follow along like never before.
Multi-faceted is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to describing Ahmen’s pursuits. During the day, Ahmen leads a nonprofit organization focused on creating sustainable change for education, social, and racial justice. As the CEO of Our Turn, he guided the organization into becoming the largest and most effective youth-led movement for education justice. Our Turn has set social change in motion by providing training to hundreds of young changemakers in 35 states and has been featured in highly acclaimed outlets such as Teen Vogue, Huffington Post, and, most recently, on the Podcasts EdCuration and You Said What?. Hip-Hop artist by night, Ahmen uses his passion for music to break down boundaries, specifically to inspire positive change for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. Deeply inspired by hip-hop revolutionaries such as 2Pac, Ahmen strives to defiantly challenge the inequities and apathy. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Ahmen has been regarded as a “troublemaker” in the music industry for almost a decade.
