It’s time to wake up, the album that has had his fans sitting off to the sidelines in anticipation has a release date. Mar 15 2024. I Had A Dream I Didn’t Have Eyes by Alternative artist Krosst Out is the third studio project from the Toronto based artist.

The album is an artistic journey into the mind of a man who is watching the end of the world.

“It’s my most aggressive and nihilistic project, it’s dark, it’s angry, it’s my view on the world right now.” Krosst Out says about the new album. “Each album needs a theme, Phone Calls With Ghosts was about getting over the past and finding yourself as a human, I was finding myself as an artist. But I Had A Dream I Didn’t Have Eyes is deeper, it’s my raw take on the state of the world, a take I think a lot of people share.”

Krosst Out prides himself on being a genre bending artist and the album is just that, curating a slew of styles, from his traditional rap/punk fusion to a nu metal, hardcore, trap sound Krosst Out finds a way to bring us a refreshing take on today’s hip hop.

I Had A Dream I Didn’t Have Eyes follows his 2020 sophomore release Phone Calls With Ghosts and his 2017 release Lifeoftheparty. Sprinkle in copious amounts of singles throughout the years like 2022’s “Anesthesia” which featured veteran singer/rapper OnCue. Or his fan favorite “3 Cheers (Bottle Boy)” with Montreal guitar shred legend Thomas Polychuck. Krosst Out has established himself both nationally and internationally for his brash vocal approach, his devil may care aesthetic and his no holds barred venomous lyrical style.

The 10 song album contains a multitude of features all of whom Krosst Out says understood the assignment and felt how he felt. “This album is music for the end of the world. Everyone that worked on this album related to that topic and gave that same energy.”

Artists like New York’s most promising up and comer LIFEOFTHOM, Ireland’s best front man Sea High, Maryland’s own bold and introspective aBnormal joY, and Toronto’s most prominent and powerful New Retro Pop artist Melotika are just a few on this project. All bringing their own flavor of world ending energy.

With the level of sonic diversity, introspection and emotion in this album it’s clear that I Had A Dream I Didn’t Have Eyes is one of 2024’s must listens, and reaffirming that Krosst Out is one of Canada’s most diverse artists.
