This musical gem, NBASAY, started to spark major noise in his state of Minnesota with his electrifying delivery on his featured track “Get Up” with Soul of Gina and his hit single “Better Days”, which showed his diversity.
Tell us about your background getting to where you are at today?
I come from a family of hustlers and people that taught me to chase my dreams by any means. So when I made the decision to start making music seriously, it was a no-brainer to go as far as I possibly could!!
Where are you from?
I mainly grew up in a suburb north of Minneapolis.
When did you start playing music?
I’ve been listening to and writing music for as long as I can remember. I started being serious in August 2024, and I’m still far away from my peak.
How did you get into music?
Music has been something that’s saved my life and made a new life for me. With seeds planted from my older generation, uncles and grandparents who played and made music throughout my childhood.
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
Losing my father during my teenage years, was the most adversity my life had ever seen. It led to amazing lessons that my life now is blessed to have.
Do you have any current projects or singles out? If yes, tell us more?
Just dropped a new single “gone2soon” on August 16th!! Which shows a little more “head bop” side of rap than I usually show!!
Who inspires you the most musically?
J.cole, and Lil Wayne, with their combination of word play, flow, and original styles that have lasted for years, and will last for decades to come.
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
That my music is all metaphorical examples. Every song has its own storyline and styles that all play together.
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
Doing it! Simply doing it, has been my most proud moment. The fact my family can go on their phone and play my voice at any second of their life!
Who is one artist you wish you could work with and why?
I want to work with too many to name. I hope one day to use my writing talents to construct an album made with many different talents!
Tell us about any new music you have coming or projects ?
My life’s triumphs and traumas have allowed me the perspective to know that it is short, and you only get one.
