0-3 WolfMob Thrilla: Exclusive Interview with HipHopSince1987

From Buffalo to the world stage, WolfMob Thrilla is carving a legacy in hip-hop. Founded by J-akk A.K.A. PappaWolf under Aki Entertainment, this independent collective blends raw authenticity with undeniable energy. Alongside TygaXwolf and BlindWolf, the crew has been building momentum with albums, electrifying live performances, and airplay on Q96FM and Djlivewirez radio. HipHopSince1987 sat down with the WolfMob Thrilla family for an in-depth conversation about their journey, inspirations, and what’s next.

The Vision Behind WolfMob Thrilla

HipHopSince1987: PappaWolf, as the founder, producer, and director of WolfMob Thrilla, you’ve built not just a group but a movement. Can you take us back to the very beginning?

1-3 WolfMob Thrilla: Exclusive Interview with HipHopSince1987

PappaWolf: From the start, I always knew I wanted to create something bigger than just myself. Hip-hop saved my life, and I wanted to build a family where artists could support each other and rise together. WolfMob Thrilla came out of that vision. I didn’t want it to be just rappers — I wanted singers, actors, models, musicians — because culture is more than one lane. The idea was to form a collective that reflects real life, real stories, and real energy. Everyone in the crew writes their own music, they bring their own flavor, and together we’ve built a wolf pack that’s hungry for success.

From Dangerous Toys to What’s Next

HipHopSince1987: WolfMob Thrilla made waves with your debut album Dangerous Toys in 2023. Now fans are anticipating the 2024 project. How will this new album differ?

PappaWolf: Dangerous Toys was our introduction — raw, unpolished at times, but it showed people what we were about. The new album is different because we’ve grown as artists. We’re pushing the production, experimenting with new sounds, but staying true to our roots. You’ll hear songs that make you think, songs that make you dance, and songs that hit your soul. Life isn’t just one emotion, and neither is our music.

PappaWolf’s 30-Track Solo Album

HipHopSince1987: Your solo project at the end of 2024 is ambitious — 30 tracks with two bonus songs. Why such a massive project?

2-3 WolfMob Thrilla: Exclusive Interview with HipHopSince1987

PappaWolf: Music is about legacy. I didn’t want to drop a quick EP just to say I put something out. I wanted to give people a body of work they could live with — something you could press play on and ride out to all day. Thirty tracks sounds crazy, but each one tells a different part of my story. Club records, pain records, love joints, motivational tracks — it’s all there.

Defining Live Performances

HipHopSince1987: You’ve hit stages from Buffalo to South Carolina. What’s been your most defining live moment?

TygaXwolf: South Carolina in July. That outdoor show was wild — people who never even heard of us before were vibin’, dancing, recording, and showing love. That let me know our music moves anybody, anywhere.

BlindWolf: For me, it was the Montage in Rochester. The energy was insane. The crowd was word-for-word with us, even on unreleased tracks. That’s when I knew people were really listening.

Balancing Storytelling & Vibes

HipHopSince1987: Your songs range from strip club energy (When She Drop It Low) to gritty reality (Voodoo) to dancefloor anthems (Shake That Booty). How do you strike that balance?

PappaWolf: Life has different sides. Some days you’re in the club, some days you’re in the trenches, some days you’re celebrating. We capture all of that. The key is honesty. Voodoo came from real trap house experiences. When She Drop It Low was just us having fun. And Shake That Booty is about energy and movement. We don’t force it — we live it, then put it on wax.

Inspirations Behind the Sound

HipHopSince1987: PappaWolf cites Big Daddy Kane and 2Pac, TygaXwolf looks to Post Malone and Snoop Dogg, and BlindWolf is influenced by Lil Boosie and NBA YoungBoy. How do these inspirations blend into WolfMob Thrilla’s sound?

PappaWolf: I bring the old-school storytelling and lyricism.

TygaXwolf: I bring the melodies and smoothness — Post gave me that, Snoop gave me the game.

BlindWolf: I bring the raw, fearless energy. Boosie and YoungBoy made me unfiltered. Together, it’s authentic, versatile, and never boxed in.

The Grind of Independence

HipHopSince1987: What’s been your toughest challenge as independent artists?

PappaWolf: Resources. Everything comes out of pocket — studio time, promo, travel. But that forces us to grind harder and build relationships. We’re not waiting on handouts.

The Role of Radio

HipHopSince1987: How important is radio in today’s streaming-driven world?

TygaXwolf: Radio still matters. When people hear you on the radio, it hits different. Streaming is dope, but radio reaches folks who weren’t even looking for you.

BlindWolf: Facts. The feedback’s been crazy. People hit us like, “Yo, I just heard y’all on Q96FM, who are you?” That exposure builds the buzz.

Big Picture Goals

HipHopSince1987: You’ve mentioned partnering with a major label but also building your own in five years. How do you plan to make that happen?

PappaWolf: It’s about groundwork. We’re dropping consistent music, building fans, and moving like a machine. When a major comes, we’ll have leverage. And when I launch my label, it’ll be about giving other hungry artists a platform, just like I built WolfMob Thrilla.

Solo Visions Within the Collective

HipHopSince1987: TygaXwolf and BlindWolf, how do you balance solo careers with the group?

TygaXwolf: The group comes first, but solo work shows my different side. Fans can expect trap mixed with melodic vibes — something to ride to and something to party to.

BlindWolf: My solo music is raw, unfiltered, and street-driven. But WolfMob Thrilla is family.

Whatever I do solo only makes the collective stronger.

Final Word to the Fans

HipHopSince1987: For new fans just discovering WolfMob Thrilla, what’s the message?

PappaWolf: We’re real people making real music. No gimmicks. We stand for unity, hard work, and turning pain into power. If you listen to us, you’re gonna hear something that connects to your life — and it’s gonna make you move. This is just the beginning.

Closing Thoughts

WolfMob Thrilla isn’t just another rap group — it’s a movement built on authenticity, unity, and relentless drive. With a new album on the way, PappaWolf’s 30-track solo project, and solo efforts from TygaXwolf and BlindWolf, the pack is hungrier than ever. From underground shows to radio waves, their rise is undeniable.

Keep an eye on WolfMob Thrilla — their story is only just beginning.
