The energy of Grammy weekend brought together some of the world’s most recognized performers, from Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift to Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Among those moving through the industry’s most exclusive spaces was rapper and entrepreneur SKG, born Helecia Choyce.

SKG began her weekend at the Grammy Museum, attending a private Q&A and listening session spotlighting NAACP-nominated spoken word artist Lynae Vanee. She continued the celebration at UnitedMasters’ “A Celebration of Independence,” where BigXthaPlug and Clipse delivered standout performances in an event presented by McDonald’s and Hennessy.
Her Grammy week concluded at R&B Money, surrounded by artists, executives, and influencers including Tank and G Herbo—further cementing her presence within today’s evolving music culture.

With past submissions for Grammy consideration already behind her, SKG walked this year’s red carpet with optimism, expressing hope that her growing body of work will soon earn official Grammy recognition.
