My name is MONÉT MERCHAND, and I represent New York—Globally. It’s not just a city, it’s a frequency. And once you tap in, you feel it everywhere. I’m going to Turn the whole world upside down. Here we go again.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My latest releases, Spring Fever (Be Mine) and KOKORO, are emotional worlds. They’re not just songs—they’re experiences.
Spring Fever is about desire, energy, heat
Blooming, relationships, desire and all that magnetical pull you can’t ignore… the kind that makes you indulge even more, even when you know better.
KOKORO is deeper—it’s longing, it’s belonging, it’s vulnerability, and emotional conflict. It’s what happens when the heart and the mind finally agree and trust the journey.
Everything I create is inspired by real emotion, real energy, and real moments. Nothing is surface-level.
What is unique about you and your music?
I don’t just make music, I build atmospheres.
There’s a cinematic quality, a global sound, and a deeper frequency in what I do. It’s intentional. It’s layered. It’s felt. It’s seen. It’s heard.
And I’m doing it independently as the First Lady Of, through Victory Note Records which means every move, every chart, every moment… is earned.
What shaped your music?
Life. Experience. Culture. Emotion.
I’ve lived, observed, felt deeply and that deeper translates into my sound. There’s influence from pop, R&B, global textures, but it’s all filtered through my own lens.
Nothing about me is manufactured.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
When Eye realized I wasn’t just creating music I AM the impact Creating Impact.
There’s a difference between making songs and moving people. Once I saw that connection, I knew this wasn’t optional. This was the purpose.
What type of music do you listen to?
Everything that feels like something. I’m eclectic with and in my taste of music and sound.
From classic legends to contemporary sounds, it has emotion, intention, and energy, I’m listening. Music is universal, and I move the same way.
What inspires you to write music?
Energy. Emotion. Timing. Rage, Womanhood, Divine Femininity. Source.
Sometimes it’s love. Sometimes it’s tension. Sometimes it’s silence. Sometimes it’s choosing self and walking away, sometimes it’s violence.
Inspiration isn’t forced—it finds me, and when it does, I translate it into sound.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
I build. I master my craft and I Win.
Whether it’s branding, business, visuals, or strategy—I’m always creating something that expands my world. Music is the core, but the vision is bigger than just one lane.

Peace. Alignment. Freedom.
Being able to move how I want, create what I feel, and live in my truth—that’s happiness.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
You don’t need permission.
You don’t need validation.
And you definitely don’t need to wait your turn.
If you have the vision and the work ethic, build it yourself. The system is changing—and independent artists are leading that shift.

We’re moving across markets—UK, Canada, and next the U.S.—and building a global presence step by step. There’s no competition
I mean like literally for a first time contender on the Charts and I’m already merging Fans in the same POP Category as Taylor Swift and BTS Airing this is Historical. A Huge milestone, The music industry knows I’m Coming, they know it’s my time and I’ve Arrived. It’s only the beginning for my career as a musician and artist.
New music, visuals, and moments are on the way. This isn’t a peak—it’s a progression.
