Q: You’ve recently been commissioned to create the official set for Funjoya 2026. How does it feel to be the musical voice of Israel’s largest festival?
Tomer Shefer: It’s a huge honor. Funjoya is the peak of the industry here, and being trusted to set the tone for tens of thousands of people is a responsibility I don’t take lightly. It’s about more than just playing music; it’s about creating an identity for the event.
Q: We recently saw you performing on major European stages, headlining for the Skideal Festival in France and Italy. How does it feel to lead such massive international events?
Tomer Shefer: The energy at these ski festivals is incredible. Performing in France and Italy was a milestone; it allowed me to bring my unique sound to a global audience. Seeing how the European crowd connects with my music in the heart of the Alps is a powerful confirmation that electronic music truly is a universal language.
Q: You were selected for an “Invite Only” session at the Abbey Road Institute in Amsterdam. That’s a dream for most producers. What did that experience give you?
Tomer Shefer: Being selected by a global institution like Abbey Road was a milestone. It was a confirmation that my work stands up to international standards. When you get feedback from the industry’s top engineers, it pushes you to keep innovating and perfecting my craft.
Q: From performing for tens of thousands at festivals to headlining high-profile events for tech giants like “Rapyd” and government bodies like “Ayalon Highways”—what’s next?
Tomer Shefer: Working with global companies like Rapyd is exciting because they demand the highest level of production, which aligns with my professional standards. Right now, I’m focused on expanding my international footprint. Following my recent live sets in Mexico and Europe, my goal is to bring my sound to major global stages. For me, it’s always about mastering the next mix and reaching new audiences worldwide.
