Detroit rapper Skilla Baby is expanding his sound with the release of “Face Card,” a melodic collaboration featuring Chris Brown and Bryson Tiller. Released last week, the record serves as the latest preview of his upcoming album, The Price of Fame, which is scheduled to arrive July 31 through Geffen Records. Built around polished production from Hitmaka and Aye YB, the single blends R&B melodies with Skilla Baby’s confident delivery, giving him space to showcase a different side of his artistry alongside two of the genre’s biggest names.
“Face Card” follows a string of recent releases that have continued to build anticipation for Skilla Baby’s next project, including “GYSM” and “West to East” featuring 42 Dugg. Over the past year, the Detroit native has also remained active through collaborations with artists such as DDG, Finesse2Tymes, Ebony Riley and Tee Grizzley while continuing to grow his national profile. After earning a fan-voted spot on the XXL Freshman Class and releasing several well-received projects, Skilla Baby appears poised for another major chapter as The Price of Fame approaches its release later this summer.
