Omarion is officially back with the release of his new album O2-Part 1, a project that revisits the foundation of his solo career while expanding his sound into a more reflective and global direction. Released last week via Create Music Group and Immaculate Frequency Records, the album marks the Grammy-nominated R&B artist’s first full-length project in several years and arrives as a continuation of his 2005 debut O, which launched his solo career and debuted atop the Billboard 200.
Framed as a “second chapter” to his debut, O2-Part 1 finds Omarion exploring themes of growth, love, healing and personal evolution. Across the project, he leans into a more vulnerable tone while still delivering the polished vocal performance that defined his early success. Singles such as “For War,” “Fantasy” and “The One” helped set the tone ahead of the album’s release, with the latter gaining traction at urban radio while sampling Snoop Dogg’s “Beautiful” featuring Pharrell Williams and Charlie Wilson. The project also includes production from Blaq Tuxedo, G-Elz and Ethos, alongside a cross-continental collaboration with Major League DJz on “I Can Do It,” which introduces an Afrobeats and Amapiano influence.
Beyond the music, Omarion’s return comes during a busy period across film, television and live performance. He currently stars in and executive produces Wild Rose, the ALLBLK action series that has become one of the platform’s most-watched shows in 2026. On the live stage, he is set to perform at the BET Awards pre-show, appear in a Verzuz matchup featuring B2K and Pretty Ricky, and kick off a series of international and domestic performances, including a stop at the Blue Note Jazz Club in Los Angeles and a tour run in Japan later this year. A full B2K reunion tour is also scheduled to begin in December, further extending a packed rollout around the O2 era as Omarion reconnects with longtime fans while introducing a new chapter of his artistry.
