Born and raised in The Gambia and now based in North Carolina, Jujufrmdabando is carving out her own space in hip-hop and pop with a sound shaped by bold femininity, sharp delivery and infectious energy. Drawing from both her West African roots and American upbringing, the artist brings a distinctive perspective to her music while continuing to develop her identity as an independent artist.
Jujufrmdabando has already demonstrated her ability to connect with audiences beyond the United States. Her single “Bubble Butt” reached No. 11 on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop/Rap chart in Austria, marking an early international milestone in her career. The achievement highlighted the ability of her music to travel across borders and connect with listeners in different markets.
After taking a break from releasing music, Jujufrmdabando is returning with a refined sound and a stronger creative direction. The time away has given the artist an opportunity to reassess her approach and return with a renewed sense of purpose.
Her upcoming single, “Slapper,” is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026, and will introduce the next phase of her musical journey. The track is positioned as a confident, playful and provocative release that reflects the unapologetic personality at the center of Jujufrmdabando’s artistry.
The release also signals the beginning of a broader period of activity for the artist. With new music, visuals and performances planned, Jujufrmdabando is preparing to reconnect with audiences while introducing listeners to the evolution of her sound.
Rather than simply returning to where she left off, the artist is approaching this chapter with a clearer creative vision. Her previous international chart performance provides an important part of her story, while the upcoming material represents where she wants to take that story next.
For Jujufrmdabando, “Slapper” is more than a new single. It marks the beginning of a renewed artistic chapter and an opportunity to introduce both existing listeners and new audiences to the artist on her own terms.
With her international experience, West African roots, American influences and developing creative direction, Jujufrmdabando is stepping back into the spotlight with new music and a clear message: she is only getting started.
