Since the promo was so crazy these past few weeks or months, it amazes me how artists don’t mention their albums sales after the first week. Thats where the blogs come in at.
53k Sold <—–MMG Self Made
What happen to #PSP (Philly Support Philly). Even though everyone on twitter tweeted “support Meek and buy the album”, who did? Because 53K is a small section of North Philly, and everyone in the Tri State area fucks with Meek. All Im saying is how can we expect him to have a solo album if a mega team or the next best thing to a Rocafella Dynasty with a Philly artist sales 53k its first week. 53k is proabably the amount of sales Flamers 2 got in its first week. Dont give me that “NOBODY BUYING ALBUMS ANY MORE TALK” …. we not BUT Lady Gaga just sold a million records this week.
Anyways Ross used Self Made to perfect his hook making ability, now the videos from Self Made will be used as promo for his “God Forgives I Don’t” album.
Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group officially sells 53,133 copies of their debut album Maybach Music Group Presents: Self Made Volume 1 that released on May 23rd, 2011.
Considering Snoop Dogg managed to sell right about 50k copies of Doggumentary album a few months ago, these numbers are considered rather impressive in today’s hip hop game The album was of course distributed by Warner Music Group, and the album roster includes Rick Ross, Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, Atlanta’s emcee Pill and of course Washington DC based Wale. Maybach Music Group consists of other talent including recently signed Stalley.
Maybach Music Group’s debut album managed to finish number 5 on the album charts according to Hits Daily Double with no realistic shot of beating out Lady Gaga’s monstrous first week album sales of 1,110,420.
