Last week was a good week for the Pats and Jets as they both were able to pick up wins in their season openers. The Patriots beat a decent Buffalo Bills team in Buffalo, while Geno Smith and the Jets received a gift from the football gods as a Tampa Bay defender made a mentally mistake that literally cost his team by putting Jets kicker Nick Folk in closer field goal range. With this being the Pats home opener and with Geno Smith being a rookie QB in his first game in Foxboro I think this will be a very one sided game. Geno will provide a spark for his offense but limited weapons will hurt him going into battle against Tom Brady. Look for Tom Brady to toss 5 touchdown passes tonight and expect Patriots running back LeGarrett Blount to rush for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Geno and Kellen Winslow will connect for two touchdowns but Tom Brady and his rookie wide out Kenbell Thompkins will be too much for the Jets on primetime TV.
