Tonight’s ESPN Week 5 NFL Monday night matchup features the (2-2) New York Jets traveling to the Georgia Dome to face the (1-3) Atlanta Falcons. The Jets and rookie Quarterback Geno Smith are struggled on the offensive side of the ball but a strong defensive front and head coach Rex Ryan has managed to get two victories in this early 2013 season.
The Atlanta Falcons on the other hand have been a bit of a disappointment so far this year and a lost tonight to the Jets could spell trouble for dirty birds QB Matt Ryan and Falcons head coach Mike Smith. The Falcons running game has been non existence so far this season, turning them into a passing attack that defenses are waiting for. Matt Ryan should have a healthy Roddy White on the field with him tonight and an additional deep threat will only help Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones get single coverage through out tonight’s game.
I expect huge nights from Geno Smith for the Jets and Julio Jones for the Falcons. Despite 3 passing touchdowns from Matt Ryan, I have a feeling Rex Ryan and Jets are going to leave ATL with a 3-2 record.
Falcons 24 Jets 28
