Conference Re-alignment is Creating Issues for Division I Football

After the NCAA Football season ended, I started to notice a wave of colleges and universities switching in and out of athletic conferences. It’s called conference re-alignment. The most recent example is the announcement that the University of Pittsburgh Panthers want to switch from the Big East Conference to the Atlantic Coast Conference. With all the conference re-alignment, it’s going to hard to tell which conferences are competitive anymore. Will the schools ever be happy with their athletic status and competitors? I think not. The NCAA President, Mark Emmert, believes there’s more conference re-alignment to come.
