Smack/URL hosted their Night Of Main Events 5 this past weekend in New York City. Battle rap fans watched as K-Shine vs Aye Verb, Serius Jones vs DNA, O’fficial vs Jaz The Rapper, Hollow Da Don vs Charlie Clips, and Tsu Surf vs Tay Roc. Fans got quite the surprise when Drake stepped on stage. Drake has been talking about battling Murda Mook for a while now. Mook challenged Drake to go round for round right there and then but Drake. He replied to the battle rapper saying “You gotta beat Surf first before you get to me” referring to Newark, NJ native Tsu Surf. For those that aren’t familiar with Surf, he is debated by many as one of the best current battle rappers. He is also making music outside of the ring recently teaming up with Styles P and Emanny for “Keep Praying,” which will be featured on his upcoming release Newark.
