The World Famous Tony Williams AKA Tony Williams takes advantage of his time off the road from Kanye West’s Saint Pablo tour to deliver a fresh collection of songs. The 7th Day EP is the prequel to the G.O.O.D. Music affiliates forthcoming LP To Gain The World. The project garners guest features from Raheem Devaughn, Cyhi The Prynce, Pharoahe Monch Stokely, JACQ, Bobby Sessions & Ye himself, while notable production comes from Bink! as well as No I.D.
Tony says:
“I’ve often pondered if it was an obvious breach between old school and the new generation or if we’re merely a broad line of demarcation. Whatever it is, I’ve always felt I was the bridge that brought them together. Who else would put Cyhi over “folk/rock”, bring Stokley and Raheem Devaughn together over a No I. D. Beat or pair Pharoahe Monch with the newest of new m.c.’s (Bobby Sessions) over a distorted guitar. Hopefully, this project will engage some new ears from both generations.” – TWFTW
