Drake didn’t just own “Summer Sixteen” – he owned the entire year. Earlier today he announced that his “Summer Sixteen” tour is the highest-grossing in Hip Hop history. The Future-assisted tour, as reported, grossed over $84 million – selling over 752K tickets! These numbers, alone, knock Jay Z and Kanye West out of the top spot with their “Watch the Throne” Tour. Aside from earning nearly $9M more than Jay and ‘Ye, Drizzy did so with fewer tour dates. There were just 56 tour dates on “Summer Sixteen,” while “Watch the Throne” had 63.
