After escaping serious injury from a car accident in Manhattan on Friday (May 2), Diplomat Records A&R Duke Da God is recovering from minor injuries and has turned his attention to focusing on upcoming Dipset projects.

According to hip-hop personality Miss Info, while sitting at a red light in his R500 Mercedes Benz at 135th street and 5th Ave in Harlem, at 3 p.m., Duke witnessed two cars drag racing. One driver lost control of the vehicle and spun out of control, smashing into the front of the Dipset’s executive car. Duke walked away with minor injuries but his Benz was wrecked.

“Ni**as have gone out and copped the new ‘Grand Theft Auto IV’ and they have lost their damn minds,” Duke told SOHH exclusively.

Although, the Dipset executive escaped serious injury and potential death, he seemed unaffected by the crash, as Duke continues plans to rebuild the Dipset brand.

“More Than Music 3 is coming soon,” he said. “[And] tune into the premiere of Dipset Radio on XM’s Channel 66 Raw over Memorial Day Weekend.”

In related news, in an ironic twist of fate, Duke’s Dipset cohort Freaky Zekey escaped death last month, as he was involved in a near fatal three-car collision. The Harlem-bred rapper escaped with minor injuries but his white S550 Benz was totaled.
