Visiting the tech lab for students with disabilities was quite a learning experience. I have always imagined the type of equipment people needed if they had a disability but seeing it in person and actually using it was the experience. I was at station six and we had Boardmaker which can be used by all students but it was made especially for ESOl and Autism students. The boardmaker help make communication boards, checklist and daily schedules.
The whole topic about copyright was great. Since I work at an after school program I have been known for bringing in bootleg movies the day the actual movie comes out so that my 3rd grade class can watch it on Fridays. Knowing that such a dvd can possibly get me jail time and arrested has brought some light to me. I now know showing a full version of any movie to my kids without Disney or that movie producers and publishers consent.
