QDeezy is back on the Philadelphia radio waves starting Monday October 3, 2011. After his long hiatus on the West Coast with Big Boi Neighborhood, the Philly native comes back to his hometown. Although he won’t be back on Power 99 where he originally started, QDeezy will help revamp Hot 107.9 this go around.
Here goes QDeezy’s bio for those of you who don’t remember the great Philadelphia radio personality.
“I snuck backstage of Power House (the biggest annual concert in Philadelphia, hosted by Power 99) I gave an on-air personality my resume.”
That was the humble beginnings of his career that would open more doors to his success. Q-Deezy (then, known as “Q-Dog”) became part of Power 99′s Dream Team Morning Show working as a street personality.
“I was on the streets doing whatever made people laugh and listen.”
This gave him the credibility needed to become a successful radio jock. Three years later, Q-Deezy graduated from Temple University, and was promoted to on-air anchor along side “Golden Girl” forming a new morning show. During that time he joined up with the well known DJ “Cosmic Strickly Skillz Kev” to continue the success of the longest running Hip-Hop show on the East coast-?The Come Up Show.
“I wanted radio to be my stepping stone to becoming an actor. That’s my dream. I want to be a successful actor.”
While working with Power 99, Q-Deezy hosted “The 10 Variety Show” which aired on Local NBC 10. He also hosted and directed a local programmed video show called Vadeo. He has appeared in the Diary of Busta Rhymes, numerous music videos, and co-hosted an episode of UPN Dance 360 with Fredro Starr and Kel Mitchell. You may also spot him in a few commercials.
Currently, Q-Deezy is focused on his acting career. In July of 2007, Q-deezy landed an air-personality position on the nationally syndicated “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” morning show.
