Around 3:30 AM the morning of July 16th, Rick Ross’ Twitter account appeared to be hacked due to a number of retweets mentioning supporting rival rapper 50 Cent. At approximately 4 AM the verified Maybach Music Group Twitter account confirmed that Ross’ Twitter had indeed been hacked.

It’s no secret that Rick Ross and 50 Cent don’t care for each other.  To give those who somehow may have not heard about the tension between the two, here is a brief recap.

Allegedly the beef between the two began in early 2009 when Rick Ross released a track entitled “Mafia Music”in which he took shots at 50 Cent by stating:

“I love to pay her bills/can’t wait to pay her rent/Curtis Jackson baby mama/I aint askin for a cent/Burn the house down/gotta buy another/don’t forget the gas can/jealous, stupid muthafu*ka”

50 Cent then responded by releasing the diss record “Officer Ricky (Go Ahead Try Me).  The confrontation then grew into a HUGE (and I mean HUGE) situation that continued to evolve and began to involve more people and details over time.  It appeared it would never end! Twitter users became aware of the hacking when the name of Ross’ Twitter was switched to “50 Cent” and the avatar was changed to 50′s Uber app logo and “Rick Ross” tweeted the same thing 50 Cent had tweeted hours before.  This immediately attracted the attention of many and the hacker whose identity is ultimately unknown began to tweet about the hacking referencing 50 Cent.
