With an educated background in film and media arts, Cherese, better known as, “The Magnificent,” has mastered her skills and talents as a videographer and film maker. One might ask, “Why does she call herself ,“The Magnificent?” And the answer is simple…She works wonders! Her work is strikingly beautiful, elaborate and extravagant. Cherese is inspired by Vashtie Kola, an artist, director, designer and entrepreneur because Vashtie is the only female in this game.
From The Magnificent’s perspective, she wants music videos to go back to the basics. She is motivated by the old school, hip hop genre of the 80’s and 90’s. Cherese believes that music videos should tell a story. Videos in today’s society are repetitive. Basically, if you’ve seen one, then you’ve seen them all. However, Cherese wants to break away from that concept. Her videos are captivating and the story line behind the music is highly compelling.
Cherese has had the opportunity to work with Abstract Thought, Aime, Chill Moody, Clout and Chance Davis. Her upcoming projects are with D-roc, Chase Allen, Q Deezy and Kiu. She is also shooting for a TV pilot for an upcoming show on NBC. With all of her success, she has a website that is to be released on June 11th, 2011.
