Quarterback is hospitalized for fight and takes blame

With all the drama surrounding Penn State’s coaching staff, the voice of the student athletes is being lost. They are the ones directly effected which where the root of this fight comes from. The altercation between quarterback Matt McGloin and wide receiver Curtis Drake broke out Saturday, which could put the schools TicketCity Bowl hopes on the backburner.
McGloin suffered a concussion and a seizure from the fight and is even taking the blame for it. The fight lasted for 10 seconds. He gave a few quotes on bowl media day. He says, “I started it, but as a quarterback for this university, I should be held to a higher standard,” McGloin told reporters at Penn State’s bowl media day. “It should not have happened. I should’ve walked away from it.” Also, the quarterback is not cleared for practice and may miss the January 2nd game.
Penn State are having than one issue with starting players. Their two back up players may not be cleared on outside incidents. Sophomore back up Rob Bolden is facing retail theft charges against the University due to taking a Gatorade bottle from the schools convenience store. Freshman third-string Paul Jones may not be able to play as well because of his academic standings.
Interim head coach Tom Bradley plans to internally punish all players for their off-field incidents.
The Lions finished their season 9-3 after all the allegations against University leader and former head coach, Joe Paterno, known as JoePa. They play the 19th-ranked University of Houston whose record is 12-1. Will they be able to win with their lack of quarterback leadership? Someone is going to have to step up and make a move.
