It has been a rough season to say the least for rookie QB Blaine Gabbert and the Jacksonville Jaguars and things don’t appear to be getting any easier anytime soon. As we approach week 15 of the 2011 NFL season the Jags and their new interim head coach Mel Tucker are headed to the Georgia Dome for a primetime Thursday night show down with Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons.
After handing out a beatdown to the Tampa Bay Bucs in the battle of Florida last week 41-14, the Jags are looking to bring that fire power to the Dome and upset the Falcons who are still very much alive in the NFC playoff race. The Falcons also have come off a very impressive come from behind victory beating first overall pick Cam Newton the Carolina Panthers 31-23 to move to 8-5 on the season.
Although the Jags defense is strong their offense minus MJD is still very young and I think the Falcons will rise up and show they maybe too much for Jacksonville to handle. I like the dirty birds in this one to move to 9-5 and closer to locking up a playoff spot in the NFC Playoffs this season. Final score Falcons 27- Jaguars 13
