Ms. Drama talks to Maybach Music artist, Meek Mill about his XXL Freshman appearance and his upcoming mixtape, Dream Chasers. Mill explains that the mixtape documents his struggle as an artist coming from the bottom and rising to the top. He talks about the Philly scene and that artists in the area still show support. He reveals that he has a good relationship with notable Philly artists, such as Jill Scott and Black Thought, who he says he can call on.
In regards to his situation with Maybach music, Mills explains that there is now no pressure since he feels he has proved himself as an artist and emcee. He talks about Ross being a motivator and why now he’s confident when he steps into the studio. On the note of T.I. and his past Grand Hustle relationship, Mills explains he was “never officially signed” and that he still continues to stay in contact with T.I. from jail. Mill admits he was also dealing with some jail time and that the Ross situation came at a more opportune time for him. The interview ends with Mills perspective on performing in New York, his Akoo Clothing ad, the XXL Freshman relationships and his thoughts on artists dealing with the pressures of Media (similar to the CB incident).
