After the announcement of the release overseas, Nike finally gives stateside sneakersheads the release date for the years most anticipated drop, the Nike Air Yeezy 2. Throughout the past few months we have been back and forth with pricing, release dates, and everything under the sun regarding this shoe. Much of that info was inaccurate or changed making this shoe not only dope, but incredibly unpredictable, much like its creator Kanye West. Fortunately, the official word from Nike came out today and the release for the Yeezy’s are literally right around the corner.
Saturday, June 9th is the day you can position for a pair of Air Yeezy 2′s. Both the Pure Platinum and Black/Solar Red colorways will hit retailers globally. Each Yeezy 2 will be in limited numbers so expect the campouts and lineups to begin, well, probably today given this news. Pricing details are still unknown but should surface very soon.
