The Philadelphia Women Vote 2012 Summit was held yesterday, July 16, 2012 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in the Grand Ballroom and it was PACKED! The room was filled from wall to wall with supporters of Barack Obama. There was not an empty chair in sight. What stood out the most was the fact that there were not just women in attendance, but men and children as well. There was an overwhelming feeling of love and support the attendees had for President Obama. Special guests included singer and philanthropist, Alicia Keys, who was welcomed with a boisterous round of applause from the citizens of Philadelphia. She proudly supports our President and proclaims that she loves being a woman and that Obama is doing everything in his power to make the lives of women in America better! Valerie Jarett, Senior Advisor to Obama gave a speech on how she has been a supporter of the Obama family before the presidency and continues to do so today. At the conclusion of the summit, Mayor Michael Nutter greeted each and every one of the people in attendance with handshakes, hugs and pictures. Last night’s event was definitely a success and hopefully we will witness another 4 more years of President Obama!
