Diddy is widely considered one of the most important figures in entertainment history. I remember a raspy Caribbean voice rapping over classic instrumentals and a certain Hip-Hop mogul screaming ” I thought I told you that we won’t stop, I thought I told you that we won’t stop. Well he did.
After 14 years in the bulkhead community in upscale Atlanta, Bad Boy records mogul Diddy’s famous Justin’s restaurant is closed and will not reopen. There was a great deal of speculation that the restaurant would only be closed for renovations and would soon reopen but that’s not the case.
Diddy isn’t the only hip-hop star to see his restaurant’s doors close in Atlanta. Jermaine Dupri’s “Cafe Dupri” closed in 2008, Usher’s wine bistro “The Grape” closed in 2009 and Mr. Lover Lover Ludacris’ “Straits” closed earlier this year.
I live in the buckhead area and I saw first hand a decrease in business at Justin’s which could be due to Atlanta mogul and radio personality Frank Ski opening a restaurant this year less then a traffic light away from Diddy’s former lounge.
Is Diddy looking to turn Justin’s into a new Ciroc based lounge or should Cassie tell him his reign is over?
