“Another day another lawsuit, but that ain’t nothing to a boss…” – Drake and Lil Wayne are back in the money headlines, but this time of no fault of their own.
The third party promotions company, Melanzh Enterprises, allegedly ‘booked’ Drake and Wayne for a $400k appearance at a club in 2011, but no one told the duo about it. Months down the line, the club owner sued and won a claim in which a judge ordered Drizzy and Wayne to pay $432,337.50 for being no shows. But since the two didn’t know about the gig, nor was Melanzh authorized to book on their behalf, they are refusing to pay, and are asking the judge to cancel the order.
If they didn’t know about it, Melanzh should be held responsible. The judge was too quick to pass judgement…
