Delaware State University is turning over a new leaf in their athletics program. After the reign of women’s basketball head coach Ed Davis, the Lady Hornets are implementing a new head coach, Tamika Louis. Louis has jumped all over the map after graduating from Fresno State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in communications. Tamika Louis has had coaching jobs since she’s graduated ranging from high school, to Division I, and even junior college. The Flint Michigan native has 14 years of coaching experience under her belt at many different schools. High schools in Ohio, junior colleges in Michigan where was named the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and Region XII Coach of the Year. Then on she’s had positions at St. Joe’s University, University of Illinois, and most recently, George Washington University. Sports Cipher caught up with Tamika Louis to talk about the future of the Lady Hornets in her hands.
