In Minor League Baseball, very few athletes are recognized for their “Major League qualifying statistics.” In baseball, there is a bullpen full of pitchers more than any other position on the team. In order to surpass your teammates and the rest of the pitchers in your league, you have to have some pretty solid statistics. Chris Heston, 22, is a superstar Eastern League pitcher from Sanford, Fl. Heston was recently awarded the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for his outstanding performance in the first half of the MiLB season. Chris Heston plays for the Richmond Flying Squirrels; a minor league baseball affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Sports Cipher caught up with Chris Heston.
