Yesterday NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Tennessee wide out Kenny Britt for his eighth brush in with the law since being drafted in 2009.
Britt and Goodell met on August 6 to discuss why he was arrested back on July 20th for Driving under the influence as he was driving with a young lady back to her Fort Campbell Army base on the Kentucky-Tennessee borders.
Britt is also recovering from his third knew surgery since his tore his ACL last september and was just taking off the PUP (Physically unable to perform list) this past tuesday. Britt announced he would accept any punishment the NFL saw fit. “That’s just another bump in the road, another pothole in the road that we’ve got to go over and smoothing that out,” Britt said last week. “That’s something I’m not putting in my head right now, just hoping to recover from these knee injuries.” Britt has 101 receptions for 1,765 and 15 touchdowns in his three year career. The Titans open the season against the New England Patriots.
