Tonight’s NFL Thursday night matchup features the Kansas City Chiefs against the San Diego Chargers.
It has so far been a disappointing season for both teams. The Chiefs enter tonights game with at (-) and the Chargers enter the game at (-). Much is being made about the lack of production from both offenses. Phillip Rivers who to many was a preseason MVP candidate may be having the worst year of his career and Chargers Head coach Norv Turner is sitting on the hot seat.
The Chiefs are also having huge quarterback issues. Matt Cassel was paid a nice penny in the offseason and that is looking like a horrible deal in the eyes of many Kansas City fans. Backup quarterback Brady Quinn has sen several snaps this season and his production hasn’t been any better.
Both franchise are also waiting for their prized running backs to step up at well. Ryan Mathews for the Chargers is considered to be a star in the making but has yet to play a full season in his young career. Former Texas track star and Chiefs running back Jamal Charles has shown potential for a huge year but not consistently.
