Winston-Salem Dash Participate in Effective Diversity Initiative

Diversity is definitely a big part of sports. Organizations want to appeal to more cultures and ethnicities. The Winston-Salem Dash shows that they are holding diversity as a priority. On Monday, June 18, Minor League Baseball President Pat O’Conner presented MiLB’s Diversity Initiative to 25 WSSU students. Of course, MiLB cannot be played in every city but the Initiative wants to provide an opportunity for young professionals to work in baseball. I’m excited that Winston-Salem Dash highlights this initiative. It’s important that it’s implemented in HBCU’s and minority internships. Winston-Salem Dash can show the success of this program and spread it to other MiLB organizations.
