Rarely do I get submissions that I fucks with. I felt like I was listening to floetry. Which is a great compliment. Look forward for music from Kriss Mincey on HHS1987 if she continues to send it to me lol.
Produced by J’Nae Morrae, Kriss Mincey’s “Tickle Me Love” (TML) from her forthcoming EP, 22 Candles, is the perfect expression of foreign exchange of jazz and hiphop, forging a narrative of love affairs in a far-away land.
The Official Music Video was shot in West Philadelphia and Georgetown, DC, by Jeremy Mines Films, with the help of Philly’s own DJ Phsh and Filmmaker Marlo Reynolds.
The song features sultry vocals over beats nostalgic of Lauren Hill and Amy Winehouse. Currently in Hamburg, Germany with TML, Mincey says the song introduces a strange and exotic (“Tel Aviv”) effect to a love story we all know. The video takes the TML from a global to neighborhood, because love can be all the more strange, no matter where it finds you.
Kriss Mincey’s TML offers a fresh, youthful energy, quenching the ears of hip-hop heads and ballad lovers alike. Download Tickle Me Love on iTunes now.
