Words of DeShawn Woodards
“It’s well known that two things that don’t mix well are courtrooms and Chicago rapper Chief Keef. The young rapper will be losing $230,019 after not showing for a performance in London in late 2012. Team Major, a concert promotion company, issued the suit against Sosa back in March for an initial amount of over $75,000, in which the company lost by Keef not showing. After issue of the suit, Chief Keef never responded which resulted in this verdict four months later. Not only will Chief Keef have to pay Team Major, but also the amount that is owed has inflated from $75,000 to $230,019 to cover damages, loss of earnings and reputational harm. Unfortunately for Sosa, this poor decision of not performing will hurt his wallet. More information to come on this case as it is available.”
