Well Eagles fans this could be the start to something special. After doubt that the Philadelphia Eagles would stick with so to be 33 year old Quarterback Michael Vick it appears the Eagles and Vick have reached common ground. On Monday the Eagles resigned Vick to a one-year deal for the 2013 season and Vick could make as much as $10 million next season. Vick’s new contract replaces the long-term contract he signed in 2011 and he now is scheduled to be a free agent after next season. “I feel like this is the perfect situation for me. After talking with Chip and looking at the offense, I wanted to be here,” Vick told Yahoo! Sports at a local press conference. Vick was scheduled to make $15.5 million in base salary in 2013 under the six-year, $100 million extension he signed with the team in 2011 and with those huge numbers due to a QB who only passed for 2,362 yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 10 games last season seemed to be to much for the Eagles to pay so a new deal was reached. Vick and Eagles new head coach Chip Kelly are looking to get the Eagles back to the postseason and bring at the Lombardi Trophy to Philadelphia.
