tim-tebow The Circus Has Left Town: The New York Jets Release QB Tim Tebow

It seems that after one year in New York City and with the Jets drafting quarterback Geno Smith in the second round of this years NFL draft, the Tim Tebow circus has left town.

Last season the New York Jets acquired Tim Tebow in a trade with the Denver Broncos in what many thought was a role to back up or challenge Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez for the Quarterback role but things never seems to go as planned. The Jets and Sanchez struggled all season last year finishing (6-10) yet Tim Tebow rarely saw any live playing time. In fact Tebow only was on the field for 77 snaps as a member of the Jets.

It’s unknown where Tebow will end up now as a free agent but I’m sure he will land another job soon if not for his on field talent, for all the attention he receives off the field. After learning about being released by the Jets, Tebow went to Twitter and wrote this message

“Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding…in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
