Former Tampa Bay Bucs first round pick, quarterback Josh Freeman has found a new home. After back and forth chatter with his now former head coach Greg Schiano, the Bucs decided to part ways with the former Kansas State Wildcat leaving room for the Minnesota Vikings to pick him up.
With current Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder struggling so far this season, we may see Freeman as a starter in Purple and yellow before the end of the month. Freeman’s deal with Minnesota is a 1 year, $3 million dollar deal so Freeman could end up on the free agent market come next off-season.
The Minnesota Vikings will are coming off of a bye week and will host Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers this sunday at 1pm. Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier has made a statement that Freeman will not start on Sunday.
