New York Knicks guard and current NBA sixth man of the year J.R. Smith will miss the first five games of the 2013-14 NBA season after not meeting the requirements set in the NBA anti-drug program. Smith who was a very instrumental part in the Knicks’ having their best season since 1990 will need to perform similar to last year if not better to help the Knicks’ fight for a NBA championship. Smith will miss games against the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Charlotte Bobcats.
