Tonight’s week 12 NFL Matchup features the (8-2) New Orleans Saints facing the (2-8) Atlanta Falcons.
This hasn’t been the season the Atlanta Falcons felt they would have in preseason and fans in Atlanta are still in shock. After losing Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones early in the year it seems the Falcons just haven’t had the same fire they had last season. Only winning two games so far this season after only losing 3 total games last regular season has Falcons owner Arthur Blank wondering what’s next.
The New Orleans Saints however have been on a roll this season after their head coach Sean Payton is back on the field with his teams and the Saints seem to be one of the top 5 elite teams in the league. The addition of Rob Ryan to coach the Saints defense may have been the best acquisition of the off-season. With Drew Brees possibly playing the best football of his career, the Saints are focused on bring the Lombardi Trophy back to the Big Easy.
I expect tonight’s NFC South matchup to be entertaining but dominated by the Saints. I look for Brees to pass for over 400 yards and toss 3 touchdown passes. I also expect the Saints defense to show up and attack Matt Ryan and that Falcons offense. Look for the Saints defense to force 3 turnovers.
Saints 38 Falcons 20
