HHS1987 was on the scene of The Academy’s own DJ Sense’s interview with MIila J on Gangsta Grillz radio. Mila J is a singer, songwriter and dancer from Los Angeles.
DJ Sense has a special ear for R&B and Hip-Hop R&B, so he spoke to Mila J about her career, her love for music, being raised in the music industry and more.
Mila J spoke with DJ Sense about her childhood as a dancer. She breaks down working with Prince in 1991, for his “Diamonds & Pearls” video. She talked about the sibling rivalry with her sister, Jheke Aiko. She talks about the life events that lead to hit single “Smoke, Drink, Break Up”.
Mila J also spoke to DJ Sense about her upcoming project “M.I.L.A” and the creative process behind the album. Mila J gave mention to working with Ty Dolla Sign, French Montana, Problem and many others on her new project. Mila J and DJ Sense spoke on his upcoming project “Trendsetter: The Album” and getting her on it.
