Since leaving the label that first signed him, Rostrum Records, Mac Miller has been doing his independent thing as an artist and putting all of his energy into his own label, Remember Music. As of today, Mac Miller reportedly signed a joint venture deal with Warner Bros Records linking his label under the company for a rumored $10 Million dollars. All of Miller’s new music & signee’s will be under what is now REMember/Warner Bros Records.
Miller shared his feelings on his latest move through emails with The FADER:
“Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with.. It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things. Then he added: “They have Prince.”
In celebration of his incredible deal, he released some new music. Listen below to ‘Just Some Raps, Nothing To See Here, Move Along’, produced by SAP.
